Custom Float for a Bottom-Discharge Pump
Designed for a 3-tonne, 110 kW pump.
Polyline designed and fabricated a pump float system to house a large four-side bottom-discharge pump. The project required a purpose-built arrangement that accommodated the equipment’s dimensions, weight and lifting requirements.

A float shaped by the equipment.
The pump’s size and discharge configuration defined the design. We developed a 3,200 × 3,030 mm float with reinforced side walls to strengthen the structure around the installation.

Lifting considered from the start.
The pump’s substantial weight made the lifting arrangement an important part of the project. We incorporated a dedicated lifting-lug design to accommodate its size and weight as part of the complete float system.
Reliable performance in service.
Since installation, the float has operated reliably without requiring major maintenance. The result demonstrates the value of designing the structure and handling provisions around the actual equipment.
