Floating Platform for Centrifugal Pumps
Purpose-built for irrigation reservoir water management.
Polyline designed and fabricated a floating system for two electrically driven centrifugal pumps to help a client manage water levels in their irrigation reservoirs. Each pump was mounted on a separate pontoon, with the support structure and pipework developed around the installation.

Our scope included HDPE pipe design, a supporting frame, pontoons and pump mounting arrangements. The system incorporated ballast and water-filled pipes, bringing its operational weight to approximately 4 tonnes.
HDPE delivery piping and custom suction and discharge fittings connected the pumping arrangement. Protective legs were incorporated into the pontoons to help safeguard the pumps.
The completed system brought flotation, equipment support and water-transfer connections together in a solution tailored to the client’s operating requirements.
