Why this product
Engineered for working sites.
Damper doors are HDPE flow-control plates fitted to the fan flange. They self-close when the fan stops — preventing air back-flow into the fan — and act as a positive isolation point for crews working on the primary circuit.
- HDPE plate with poly self-lubricating hinge — corrosion-free, no seizing
- Self-closing under fan stop — back-flow prevention
- Configurable for left- or right-hand-facing installation
- Fabricated to your drift / fan-case geometry
- Installation kit and illustrated procedure supplied with every door
Installation procedure (left-hand-facing door, three-part install): (1) Hinge and door arrive as one unit. Lift via the top-stringer shackle into position; rest the bottom of the hinge on the stiffening plate; clamp door + hinge to the fan flange. (2) With the door slightly open, drill 8 evenly-spaced holes through the hinge and fan flange using a 24 mm drill bit; pass the bolt and washer through, with a 10 mm plate washer on the back. (3) Tighten all nuts/bolts and test the door action. Repeat as a mirror install for a right-hand-facing door.
